I’ve been in the newsletter game for a while now, and through months of testing, experimenting, and watching AI Fire grow, I saw firsthand how expanding your newsletter ecosystem can skyrocket your reach and revenue. Take our AI Fire newsletter, for example. When we first started, we focused heavily on audience engagement, and we were pretty happy with how it grew like this:

But then we thought: why stop at one? So, we launched a second newsletter in the crypto market, and the results were incredible. We didn’t just reach more people, we reached more of the right people, too. It’s The Crypto Fire:

Here’s the thing: starting multiple newsletters is easier than you think. You don’t need a huge team or a ton of extra time. In fact, by applying the right strategies, like improving SEO, using Pinterest for traffic, and leveraging tools like Sparkloop for list-building, you can create multiple successful newsletters with a lot less effort than you might imagine.
In this latest lesson in NewsletterAZ course, we’ll show you more proof and real results, along with plenty of encouragement, so you can move forward with confidence. We want you to feel equipped to take that next step, whether you’re starting a second newsletter or expanding into new niches. You’ve got this, and we’re here to guide you through the process, step by step. Let’s get started!
1. Real Results from AI Fire
“SEO is only not seen as rocket science by those who already know it” - Danny Sullivan. Danny is a widely respected journalist and analyst in the field of search engines and search marketing. He co-founded Search Engine Land as well as MarTech. And we totally agree with him.
When we optimized our content with SEO, we started seeing the results in real time and yeah, they were clear and impressive. Just take a look at these numbers:
31.3K+ Clicks
1.75M+ Impressions
100% FREE Organic Traffic from Google
These stats are a testament to the power of SEO. We saw a massive jump in both clicks and impressions, all driven by organic traffic from Google. No ads, just SEO. Our organic traffic grew by 20% in just three months. This wasn’t just about more visitors, these were targeted visitors who ended up subscribing because they found our content through search engines. The numbers were pretty clear. Over 40% of our new subscribers in that period came from organic search.

You can see the growth in the graph, too. It shows the fluctuations, but overall, the trend is upwards. This is the kind of traffic boost you can expect when you start focusing on SEO for your own newsletters.
This experience taught me one crucial lesson: If you're not using SEO (Google), you're missing out on the easiest and most sustainable way to drive traffic right now. The results speak for themselves.
By optimizing the content for SEO, we managed to attract an audience that was genuinely interested in what we were offering. It’s not just about getting more traffic – it's about getting the right traffic, people who are already searching for topics related to your newsletter.
We also made sure to integrate relevant keywords into the subject lines of our emails. This helped us stand out in search results, and we saw an increase in open rates. It’s a small change but one that can have a big impact.
So, if you’re looking to scale your newsletter, SEO should be at the top of your list. Start focusing on it today, and you could see your own numbers skyrocket just like ours. Below is our tips, grab and use right away.
We have a list of AI SEO Tools for you:
SEO.AI: The #1 Ranked AI Writer for SEO: AI SEO assistant helps you write and optimize content across your site – so it appeals to both customers and search engine algorithms.
Ahrefs: Best for AI keyword research and content optimization: AhrefsBot is #2 most active web crawler in the world. Providing high-end infrastructure to power our services. Improving web crawling speed and breadth.
You might be thinking, "Okay, I get that SEO is important, but how do I actually apply it?" Here are a few simple, actionable tips:
a. Target Specific Keywords & SEO Checklist
Long-tail keywords are phrases that are more specific, and often easier to rank for. For example, instead of using "AI tools," I focused on phrases like "best AI tools for small businesses." This type of keyword is more likely to match what people are actually searching for, and it has less competition.
With AI Fire, this approach helped us rank for niche topics and drive targeted traffic. So we’ll show our process, you can follow and apply to yours:
Step 1: Use Google Keyword Planner: Go to Google Keyword Planner and type in a relevant keyword related to your post. For example, one of our posts is about building an e-book from notes, so we try searching the keyword "build an ebook."
You'll get a range of keyword data, such as the average monthly search volume, competition, and trends. For this keyword, the monthly search volume is 1k-10k. I recommend using keywords with this range because they are specific enough to target but still have decent search volume. It's a good balance between visibility and competition. Here’s the list of our keywords and how to sort them:
Step 2: Complete Your SEO Checklist: Each SEO component (like titles, headings, content, etc.) will have its own checklist to ensure that everything is optimized effectively. We can list some main components for you, and below is our checklist:
Title and meta description: Include your target keyword in both the title and meta description to help search engines understand your content.
URL Structure: Use a clean, keyword-rich URL.
Heading Tags (H1, H2, H3): Use heading tags to break your content into digestible sections. Make sure the main keyword appears in the H1 and related variations in H2 and H3.
Content Optimization: Ensure the keyword "build an ebook" appears naturally throughout the content without keyword stuffing. Add variations of your target keyword to make the text feel more natural and relevant.
Internal and External Links: Link to other related posts on your website (internal links). Include links to authoritative external sources when relevant (external links).
Image Alt Text: Optimize any images in your post by adding descriptive alt text that includes relevant keywords.
Mobile Optimization: Ensure your content is mobile-friendly. Many users access content via mobile, and Google considers mobile-friendliness as a ranking factor.
Page Speed: Fast loading times are crucial for both user experience and SEO rankings. You can use tools like PageSpeed Insights to check your site’s speed.
While we don’t want you to copy anyone else’s approach, we’ve crafted our own detailed checklist for you to use. If you want to take a look at ours as a reference, feel free to DM us.
✔ Tip: Find 2-3 long-tail keywords that fit each of your newsletter’s topics. Aim for keywords that show intent – meaning, people searching for them are likely ready to take action (like subscribing).
b. Update Old Content – One of the best SEO strategies I've learned is revisiting older newsletter editions and refreshing them with new keywords and updated information. This can give old content a boost and help keep your newsletter relevant over time.
If I could give you one piece of advice when it comes to SEO for your newsletter, it would be to keep testing and iterating. It’s not about making huge changes overnight; it’s about consistent, small improvements. That’s what I did with AI Fire, and it paid off in subscriber growth and engagement.
📌 ADVANCED TIPS: For daily news, or updates in your market, use ChatGPT Tasks - one of the biggest shifts in how AI works - to deliver research results automatically or schedule updates on market trends, news, or competitor activity and then send to your email like this:

With SEO, you can build a strong foundation that brings in the right audience – people who are actively looking for what you offer. It’s worth the effort, trust me!
II. Using Pinterest to Drive More Traffic to Your Newsletter
Pinterest is a treasure trove for creators, but few people know this fact! Pinterest isn't just for recipes and DIY crafts, it's a goldmine for driving traffic to your newsletter. If you’re not using Pinterest to grow your newsletter, you’re missing out.
So, basically we use RSS Feeds to automate content distribution. It helps you reach a wider audience without manually posting updates. In this section, I’ll walk you through how to set up your own RSS feed and connect it with platforms like Pinterest and Google News.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a tool that allows you to automatically distribute your latest content to subscribers or other platforms. It’s like a shortcut for getting your content out there without manually posting it everywhere.
We’ll talk about this with super detailed tutorial here: . You can follow this and set up your own lead generation:

We don’t just say, we tested it, we see it works and we share. As shown below, AI Fire page gets 36.1K organic views each month and 108.26K impressions each month even we don’t put much effort into it, just a RSS URL and a Pinterest account. This is 100% FREE ORGANIC traffic, automated via RSS that we got recently:

Here’s what you should know before creating your first feed:
Content Updates: When you update your RSS feed, new content will automatically appear as Pins on your boards within 24 hours. The oldest content on your RSS feed will be published first, with a limit of up to 200 Pins per day.
Board Selection: Each feed can be linked to a specific board. If you choose a secret board, the Pins will stay private and won’t be visible to others on Pinterest.
Multiple Feeds: You can add as many RSS feeds as you want, provided they are connected to your claimed website.
III. Use Sparkloop to Build a Referral Program for List Building

Building a strong email list is crucial for your newsletter’s success, and Sparkloop is one of the best tools to make this happen. If you’ve never heard of Sparkloop, let me break it down for you. It’s a referral platform that lets your existing subscribers help you grow by encouraging others to sign up. And trust me, it works!
Sparkloop is a great tool for newsletter collaborations, and it’s all about growing your email list through strategic partnerships with other newsletters. Instead of having users share your newsletter with friends, Sparkloop uses a smart pop-up feature that allows one newsletter to encourage its readers to subscribe to others. It’s a win-win: both newsletters get exposure, and your subscriber count grows without much effort.
1. What Sparkloop Does and Why It’s Worth It
Sparkloop is a powerful tool for newsletter collaborations. It connects different newsletters and allows them to work together to grow their audiences. Instead of individual subscribers referring friends to your newsletter, Sparkloop sets up partnerships between newsletters. Here's how it works:
When a new user subscribes to your newsletter, a pop-up appears asking them if they would like to subscribe to other relevant newsletters as well. These newsletters have already partnered with yours through Sparkloop. It’s a great way for your audience to discover more content they may find valuable, and it's a win-win for both newsletters involved.
You can take a look at this process and I’ll give you an example:

Let’s say you just subscribed to AI Fire. After you sign up, Sparkloop shows you a pop-up that says:

As you can see, when signing up for AI Fire, if you click “FREE to continue”, you also subscribe to “ChatGPT Central” and “Introvert Millionaire Habits” newsletters, which would be another newsletter that Sparkloop has partnered with AI Fire to promote. This collaboration is great for everyone. AI Fire grows its audience by tapping into readers who are already interested in similar topics. At the same time, the other newsletter gets exposure to AI Fire’s audience, leading to a mutual growth effect like this:

This is the Sparkloop’s dashboard, don’t be worried, we’ll guide you how to use it. But first, as you can see, from Jan 27 to Feb 25, we sent, which means we helped other newsletters gain 1.263 new subs. In the meanwhile, we gained back 2.416 subs, pretty cool right?
What made it even better was that the new subscribers were aligned with our content interests, making them highly engaged from the start. I mean, it’s a “win-win” collaboration. But we don’t just use everything Sparkloop recommends, next part we’ll talk about this deeper.
This is just a small lesson from NewsletterAZ Course, would you like to see more?

Choose your plan – Sparkloop offers both free and paid plans. If you’re just starting out or want to test it first, the free plan is enough to get you familiar with the system. As you see results and want to scale, you can upgrade to a paid plan for more features.

Newsletter Referral Programs: Reward your audience for sharing with friends and watch your newsletter grow 20-200% faster. It couldn't be easier...
Integrate with your email platform in two-clicks

Step 3: Find a Newsletter Partner
After signing up, the next step is finding a newsletter partner to collaborate with. The goal is to find newsletters with a similar audience that complement yours. For example, if your newsletter focuses on AI, you might want to partner with one that focuses on tech or business.
Here’s how you can find a good partner:
Look for newsletters in your niche – Reach out to newsletters that align with your content but don’t directly compete with you. Sparkloop does automatically connect you with partners, but you can also search for other newsletters in your network or industry. Go to “Free Recommendation” menu and you’ll see it.
Send an outreach request – Once you have a list of potential partners, send a brief, friendly request proposing a collaboration. Be clear about how both of you will benefit from sharing each other’s audiences. The goal is to show how a partnership with you will be a win-win.
📌 NOTE: For Free account, you have the limit of 100 partnership requests per month. So use it wisely.Set expectations – Agree on details like the length of the collaboration, what the pop-up will look like, and any additional benefits for the subscribers, such as exclusive content or giveaways. Once both newsletters are on board, you’re ready to move to the next step.
Step 4: Create and Launch the Referral Pop-up: Now that you’re all signed up and have a partner, it's time to set up the pop-up:

On the right side, you can see the preview of the pop-up that will appear when someone sign up to your newsletter.
On the left side, you can carefully choose the partners you want to add. The number of recommendations will be displayed, and the ideal number is between 10-12.
For paid recommendations, let’s say Anna signs up for a newsletter, she must meet certain criteria to be considered a successful referral. For example, she may need to open emails twice a week. If she meets the criteria, you’ll receive $3 per referral based on each newsletter’s program. Free recommendations, on the other hand, are completely free for both sides.
📌 TIP: Pinned recommendations appear in the same order you choose. All other recommendations are determined by its Smart Optimization algorithm to help earn you more revenue.
Why some Recommendations aren't appearing in your Upscribe widget?
Yeah if you've successfully added several publications for paid recommendations to your Upscribe widget, but when you go and test it out on your website, only a few publications (or none) appear. There are 3 main reasons that this is likely occurring 👇
Reason #1: Geo-optimization: SparkLoop Partner programs offer geographical restrictions. This means you can choose to block or accept referrals from specific countries. If geo-restrictions are activated, your publication won’t show in the Upscribe widget for users in restricted locations.
For example, if you're in Germany and choose publications that only accept US referrals, you won’t see these US-only publications when testing the widget.
⚠️ Note: If no publications accept referrals from your country, the Upscribe widget won’t appear. You can use a VPN to test as if you're in an accepted location.
Reason #2: Out of Budget: Each partner program has a monthly budget cap. When the budget is reached, SparkLoop automatically removes the publication from your Upscribe widget and replaces it with another one that has remaining budget.
⚠️ Note: If all your recommendations exceed their budget, the Upscribe widget will not appear.
Reason #3: Smart Optimization: Some publications offer higher earnings than others, based on factors like higher CPA or a better opt-in rate. To maximize your referral revenue, SparkLoop uses Smart Optimization. This algorithm shows publications that earn you more, more often, while publications earning lower revenue are shown less frequently.
3. Tips for Maximizing Sparkloop Success
When we started using Sparkloop, we realized quickly that simply setting it up wasn’t enough to get the most out of it. To truly maximize the benefits, there are a few strategies and tips that can make a huge difference. Let me break them down for you:
a. Choose the Right Partners
This is the most important part. Sparkloop works best when you team up with newsletters that have a similar target audience but aren’t direct competitors. If you’re running a tech-focused newsletter, look for partners in related areas like AI, software, or entrepreneurship. Their subscribers are likely to be interested in your content, making the collaboration a win-win.
For example, when AI Fire collaborated with a crypto-focused newsletter, the partnership was incredibly successful because both audiences share an interest in technology and innovation. I’ve seen growth rates as high as 15% to 20% in just a couple of weeks when the audience match is spot on.

📌📌 Pro Tip: To get the best results, make sure to regularly check your reports. You need to analyze which newsletter partnerships are working best and which ones aren’t performing as expected. Every 10 days, review your data and adjust your partners accordingly—adding new ones if they seem promising or removing underperforming ones.
b. Keep the Referral Process Simple
Simplicity is key. Sparkloop lets you set up pop-ups, but you want to make sure the process is as frictionless as possible for your readers. If the referral process is too complicated or if there are too many steps involved, you’ll lose people. The easier it is for your audience to sign up for the second newsletter, the more successful the campaign will be.
I recommend placing the pop-up at natural points in your newsletter - like after they finish reading a post or right after they sign up. Make it a smooth, easy transition that doesn’t disrupt their experience. One-click sign-ups are ideal.
📌📌 Pro Tip: Test different pop-up placements and designs. I’ve found that a simple, clean pop-up at the end of the email works best. Don’t make it too flashy - just a gentle nudge with a clear call to action.
c. Track, Analyze, and Optimize
You won’t know what’s working unless you track the results. Sparkloop provides real-time data, so use it! Take a look at the number of people who signed up for the other newsletter, the engagement rates, and even the feedback from new subscribers.
For AI Fire, I’ve tracked which partners perform the best and discovered some valuable patterns. For example, we found that campaigns offering exclusive access to premium content performed 30% better than campaigns offering a freebie like an eBook.

Now, I’ll show you the magic, look at that chart, do you notice something? 3…2…1, yeah the number of subscribers received is BIGGER than subscribers sent - which means your efforts in building partnerships and referrals are working really well.
You should focus on keeping a balanced approach in managing your subscribers through partnerships. The 60% refers to the partners who bring you more subscribers than you send. These partners are your top performers - people who are highly aligned with your content and audience, helping you grow quickly.
The 20% represents the partners where the number of subscribers sent equals the number received. These partnerships are steady but not as strong in terms of subscriber growth, so they should make up a smaller portion of your overall strategy.
The remaining 20% is for cases where you send more subscribers than you receive, but the gap should be controlled. This means the difference between sent and received should never exceed 10, ensuring the effort you put into sending referrals isn’t wasted. It keeps things balanced and prevents over-sending without enough return.
d. Maintain Long-Term Relationships with Your Partners
After the initial collaboration, keep the relationship going. Just because the pop-up campaign ends doesn’t mean you should stop communicating with your partners. Stay in touch with them to explore other opportunities. Consider co-hosting webinars, guest blogging, or even doing cross-promotions.
For example, after the AI Fire and crypto newsletter collaboration, we kept the momentum going by cross-promoting each other’s content regularly. This resulted in a steady stream of subscribers long after the initial Sparkloop campaign.
📌📌 Pro Tip: Nurture your partnerships. Think long-term, not just short-term boosts. A consistent partnership can keep your subscriber list growing steadily over time.
IV. Should You Expand Your Newsletter Ecosystem?
So, let's answer the big question: Should you start a second or third newsletter? I can tell you from experience, yes, you should. If you’ve already got one newsletter running, you’re in a great position to branch out and explore new niches. And if you’re not sure where to start, I’ll walk you through how we did it and the real results we’ve seen from our own experiments.
Like I said before, we have a second baby: The Crypto Fire. Launching "The Crypto Fire" was a big step, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. It was born in November 2024, look how it grew after 1,5 months:

The growth, engagement, and community-building have far exceeded what I expected at this stage. If you’re considering expanding your own newsletter ecosystem, this is living proof that it works. A second newsletter doesn’t just add more subscribers - it opens up a whole new world of opportunities:
1. More Opportunities for Growth
Expanding into new areas means you’re not limiting yourself to just one audience. You’re opening the door to multiple streams of subscribers. When I launched my crypto newsletter, I saw a 25% increase in overall newsletter subscribers in just a few weeks. This growth wasn’t just from the new crypto audience; it also attracted more subscribers to my original newsletter because the two newsletters complemented each other.
You can do this too. If you’re already seeing success in one niche, why not replicate it in another? For example, if you’re focusing on fitness, maybe a second newsletter could focus on health tech or wellness trends. Both areas would attract similar subscribers who are into self-improvement, and one can fuel the growth of the other.
2. Diversifying Your Content
Having more than one newsletter allows you to experiment with different content formats, tones, and strategies. You can be more creative without the pressure of sticking to the same thing over and over. For instance, my second newsletter in crypto has a more analytical and data-driven tone, whereas the AI Fire newsletter is more conversational and solution-focused. This variety helps keep things interesting for both the readers and for me as the creator.
You can use this approach to explore what resonates best with different audiences. If you have multiple newsletters, you can test ideas in one and see what works before introducing them to another. This also allows you to target different interests without feeling like you’re spreading yourself too thin.
3. More Opportunities for Monetization
I can tell you from experience that having multiple newsletters creates more avenues for monetization. When I added the crypto newsletter, I noticed that it opened up new sponsorships and affiliate marketing opportunities, which I couldn’t tap into with just the AI Fire audience.
For example, I started getting offers for crypto-related products and services that were highly relevant to my crypto audience. Additionally, running multiple newsletters can increase your chances of landing more sponsorship deals, as brands love to partner with creators who have an established, diversified audience.
4. Replicating Your Success
One of the best things about expanding your newsletter ecosystem is how easy it is to replicate your success. What you’ve learned from your original newsletter can be directly applied to your new ones. From the tools you use to the strategies you implement, much of what works for your first newsletter can work for the second and third as well.
I’ve been able to transfer my SEO strategies, Pinterest marketing, and Sparkloop integration across my newsletters. The same methods that helped grow my first newsletter helped me grow the others, but I was also able to fine-tune these techniques based on the lessons learned. For instance, my SEO strategy for the crypto newsletter was tweaked to target crypto-specific search terms, and that made a significant difference in organic traffic.
You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Use the same tools, the same strategies, and the same methods you used for your first newsletter.
For example, if you’re already using Sparkloop for one newsletter, you can easily set it up for the second one. If you’re using Beehiiv to manage your AI Fire newsletter, you can start another newsletter on the same platform. The technology and resources are already there to make this expansion smooth.
📌📌📌 IMPORTANT NOTE: Your second niche must be "RICH", I don’t mean being rich in money, but being rich in news, daily updates, and content. This focus has been key to its rapid growth. This rich, always-relevant content keeps readers coming back every day, making it an essential part of their routine.
It’s Easier Than You Think to Start a New Newsletter
You don’t have to be overwhelmed by the idea of launching another newsletter. It’s all about identifying the right niche, creating engaging content, and driving traffic. I’ve tested this approach with The Crypto Fire newsletter, and the results speak for themselves. Expanding our content and audience has led to increased open rates, more clicks, and a stronger community.
So, what are you waiting for? If you’re seeing success with your first newsletter, starting a second one could unlock even more growth. Take the leap and explore new topics, connect with a broader audience, and scale your efforts. And if you need help getting started, something like the NewsletterAZ Course can make the process smoother.
Use these strategies I mentioned - SEO, Pinterest, and Sparkloop - to help you grow faster and with less effort. If you’ve already seen success with your first newsletter, starting another one could be the key to scaling!! Good luck!
