The U.S. leads in private-sector investment in AI, says a new report from S&P Global.
This AI investment is boosting the stock market and is key to future economic growth.
Details: From 2013 to 2023, the U.S. private sector invested over three times more in AI than any other country. During this period, the U.S. created 5,509 AI companies, almost four times more than China, which created 1,446.
However, S&P notes that private investment is just part of the story. Governments, especially in China, will also play a major role in AI development, with much of China's AI spending likely to come from government funding.
