📈 State of Security Report 2024

state-of-security-report-2024

Source: Orca Security

Today, we're better prepared to keep new AI technologies safe compared to ten years ago. Knowing more and learning about it is key to making this happen.

Key takeaways:

  • Over 56% of firms deploy AI with major models like GPT-35, but security takes a backseat.

  • 98% and 45% of organizations neglect proper security in SageMaker settings and bucket names.

  • Only 0.2% of AI vulnerabilities are currently exploitable, compared to a general 2.5% exploit rate.

  • Most AI vulnerabilities, while currently low risk, average a CVSS score of 6.9.

Why it matters: Since AI security is still developing, there are not many experts or guidelines available, making organizations come up with their own solutions. Also, security teams often don't see all AI activities, missing some security steps. The quick advancement in AI technology prioritizes ease of use over safety, requiring continuous updates in security measures.
