AI HIGHLIGHTS

♾ OpenAI is rolling out a new "infinite" memory feature for ChatGPT, allowing it to access all your past conversations to enhance continuity and personalization. This means the AI will remember details and context from previous chats, improving its ability to provide tailored responses.

However, it's important to note that deleting a conversation will not erase the memories the AI has retained from that chat. Users should stay informed about privacy implications and take advantage of settings to manage how their data is used.

🖥️ A developer successfully ran a neural network on a TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, achieving 95% accuracy on digit recognition despite the calculator's limited memory and processing power.

🌐 Guardian tests reveal ChatGPT’s search tool can be tricked by hidden text, influencing its summaries and even returning malicious code. This highlights risks in AI-powered search.

💡 Microsoft, after investing $14 billion in OpenAI, is reducing reliance on its models for products like 365 Copilot. It’s integrating diverse AI models to address cost, speed, and enterprise needs while maintaining OpenAI as a partner.

🤖 In 2025, SMBs face rising AI costs (“AI tax”) as IT spending grows by 7.5%. Custom GPTs and AI agents promise 20-30% efficiency gains, reshaping business workflows.

🧠 Can we tap into other intelligences? Ants and humans share a rare ability: each can work together in groups to mobilize oversized objects. Try → Loop → Fail? → Exit → Rotate → Repeat until success.

AI PROMPT TIP

Simple format changes can make AI 40% smarter

Looking to get better results from cost-effective AI models? Microsoft researchers found a simple formatting trick that significantly improves performance:

For GPT-3.5 ($0.50/1M tokens): Use JSON format

{
"Instructions": "Your task",
"Examples": "Example output",
"Task": "Your request"
}

For GPT-4 ($3.00/1M tokens): Use Markdown format

## Instructions
Your task
## Examples
Example output
## Task
Your request

AI models may work better with certain formats, and while this could change in the future, using the right format now is a simple way to get better results without extra cost.

Quick Tip: Don’t want to format your text yourself? Just ask an AI to “change this to JSON format” or “convert this to markdown,” and it will do the work for you.

For Developers: GPT-4 is designed to prefer markdown format because OpenAI’s chat interface uses it. If you’re using the API, the easiest solution for most tasks is to use a markdown-to-HTML converter. But if you want to stop markdown formatting completely, use the logit_bias setting to reduce markdown-related tokens.
