AI can now do anything like humans, even lie, read emotions, and feel anxious. Could it someday become angry and yell at us? Probably.

AI INSIGHTS

🤖 AI is "Tearing Apart" Companies

ai-is-tearing-apart-companies

A survey of 1,600 knowledge workers in the U.S., including 800 executives and 800 employees from industries such as finance, technology, retail, healthcare, and consumer goods, analyzed how enterprises are adopting generative AI, the challenges they face, and the strategies needed to maximize AI’s potential.

Key Takeways:

  • AI adoption is causing chaos. 42% of executives say bringing AI into their company is creating division instead of progress.

  • Teams aren’t working together. 71% of executives admit that AI projects are happening in silos, making it harder to see real results.

  • Younger employees are pushing back. 41% of Millennials and Gen Z workers are actively resisting AI adoption—some are even sabotaging projects by entering bad data or ignoring AI training.

  • Employees don’t trust company AI tools. 35% are paying out of pocket for better AI solutions because the ones provided at work just aren’t cutting it.

  • Shadow AI is a security risk. 27% of employees are spending at least $25/month on AI tools their companies don’t approve, opening the door to security threats.

  • AI champions are everywhere. 77% of employees see themselves as early adopters and want AI to succeed—but they need the right tools and support.

  • Executives expect more from vendors. 98% of leaders want vendors to help shape AI strategy, but 94% feel let down by their current providers.

Why it matters: Companies are racing to adopt AI, but many are getting it wrong. They’re pushing tech without fixing trust, strategy, or execution. Employees don’t resist AI because they hate it—they resist because it’s poorly implemented, disrupts workflows, or feels like a threat.

The real issue isn’t AI itself—it’s how companies are rolling it out. Leadership expects instant ROI, but they’re ignoring the friction AI creates inside their own teams. If employees don’t trust the tools, if AI decisions are made in silos, and if vendors only sell but don’t support, AI adoption will fail, no matter how much money is thrown at it.

AI CHART

ai-chart

Generative AI is becoming a big deal, and it’s not just for tech enthusiasts anymore. A new report from Adobe Analytics shows just how much AI is transforming the way we shop, travel, and manage money.

AI is driving massive traffic to retail websites. Between February and July 2024, traffic from generative AI sources jumped by 1,200%, and during the holiday season, it saw a 1,300% increase—with a peak of 1,950% on Cyber Monday. Retailers are clearly feeling the power of AI, and it's no surprise that more businesses are tapping into it.

Desktop Traffic Dominates in AI

Generative AI is driving 86% of traffic from desktop devices. People prefer using desktops for the deeper, more interactive experience AI offers. In contrast, overall e-commerce sees only 34% of traffic from desktops, showing how AI interactions stand apart from typical shopping experiences.

AI's Effect on E-Commerce Categories

When it comes to conversion rates, electronics and jewelry see the highest success from AI traffic. People use AI to narrow down product choices in these high-value categories. However, AI is less effective in areas like apparel, home goods, and groceries, where decisions are less complex.

AI’s Impact on Travel and Finance

  • Travel: Traffic to U.S. travel sites from AI sources jumped 1,700% between July 2024 and February 2025. AI helps users with research, trip planning, and budgeting.

  • Financial Services: There was a 1,200% increase in traffic to U.S. banking sites, as consumers use AI for financial advice, investment strategies, and budgeting.
